MINUTES OF SPECIAL SELECTMEN'S MEETING

 

JUNE 12, 2004

 

TOWN OF FRYE ISLAND

 

The location of the meeting was the Community Center, Town of Frye Island

 

The meeting was called to order at 9:03 AM by James Kuiken

 

Selectmen:  James Kuiken, Bob Roberts, Dave Decker

BIT:  Pat Karpacz, Grace Morin, Jim O'Connor

Town Manager:  Wayne Fournier

 

TRANSFER STATION FEES:

Fees were discussed and established to present for a Public Hearing to be held

on June 19, 2004 at 9:00 AM in the Community Center.

 

Wayne to prepare a schedule of fees as agreed upon.

 

An ordinance will be drafted for Transfer Station operations and violations, this

ordinance will be presented at the October, 2004 Town Meeting.

BUILDING PERMIT ORDINANCE:

A Building Permit Ordinance was presented requiring temporary sanitary facilities

and disposal of construction debris.

 

A correction was made stating the property owner or contractor shall provide and

maintain the temporary sanitary facilities and dumpsters/containers.

 

This ordinance will be presented at a Public Hearing to be held on June 19, 2004

at 9:00 AM in the Community Center.

 

COMMUNITY CENTER STRUCTURAL REPAIRS:

MOTION to accept bid of $16,140.00 from Zachau Construction to repair the

structural damage at the Community Center as per the sketch provided by

Shelley Engineering, Inc. with $10,000.00 coming from line item in budget and

$6,140.00 coming from the Recreation Reserve Account.  Ask Frye Island, Inc.

to reimburse the Town $6,140.00, if FII agrees to reimburse, the monies will go

to the Recreation Reserve Account.

 

Motion made by Bob Roberts and seconded by Dave Decker
